Upload one selfie, pick a Halloween look and get a portrait of yourself in costume: a gothic witch, a sugar-skull queen, a haunted mascot or a Y2K horror night. Your face stays recognizable, the costume, makeup and scene change. No costume shop, no waiting for delivery.

Put yourself in a Halloween AI look
Upload one clear photo of yourself (18+), or of your own pet. Couple looks also take one photo of a second adult who appears with you and has agreed. A sharp, evenly lit, front-facing photo keeps your face the most stable.

The AI keeps your face recognizable and changes hair, outfit, makeup and scene. Hands, small accessories and your look can vary, so review the portrait before you share it. If the photo cannot be used, the credit is returned.
We keep your photo only while the image is made and delete it when the image is ready or the job fails. Your portrait stays downloadable for 14 days; deleting it or your account removes it sooner. The photo is sent to Google’s Nano Banana 2 image model through our AI provider, only to make your image. Privacy policy

Halloween costumes are a photo trend now.
Every October, people want to see themselves in costume before they buy a single prop. On TikTok that now means AI filters that turn a selfie into a witch, a skeleton or a creature, stop-motion style portraits, and Y2K flash-photo horror. The same idea works for pets and couples. HalloweenAI.fun turns these Halloween AI looks into original presets you can run on your own photo, so you get a shareable portrait without a costume shop, a makeup artist or a photo studio.

Halloween AI questions before you generate
01What is Halloween AI?+
Halloween AI is a tool that turns one photo of you into a Halloween costume portrait. You pick a look, the AI keeps your face recognizable and changes the outfit, makeup and scene.
02How do I make an AI Halloween costume photo?+
Upload one clear photo, pick a look such as Midnight Braids or Sugar Skull Glam, and generate. Your portrait is ready in about a minute and downloads as a 3:4 PNG.
03What does one image cost?+
One credit per image. Packs start at 5 credits for $4.99, credits never expire, and a failed or blocked generation returns the credit.
04Can I use a photo of my dog or cat?+
Yes. The Pumpkin Pet and Glow Dino Pet looks are made for pets. Use a sharp photo with your pet filling most of the frame.
05Will it look like me?+
The AI aims to keep your face, skin tone and age recognizable, but the result can vary. Compare the result with your original before you share it.
06Can I upload a celebrity or a child?+
No. Upload only a photo of yourself (18+) or of your own pet; couple looks also take one adult who appears with you and agreed. Public figures, celebrities and minors are not allowed, including parody and fan edits. Copyrighted characters are not allowed either.
Halloween AI is a photo tool for making Halloween costume portraits. You upload one photo of yourself (18+) or of your own pet, choose one of 13 original looks, and get back one vertical 3:4 PNG. If you are searching for ai halloween photo ideas or ai halloween pictures, this page explains how the tool works, what each look tends to produce, and where it can go wrong. Halloween AI is an independent tool. It has no link to any film, game, studio or costume brand.

What Halloween AI does
Each image is one job. You give the tool a photo, it combines that photo with a prompt written for the look you picked, and it returns one 1K PNG at 3:4. The image model behind it is Google's Nano Banana 2. The Gemini API image generation docs describe how this model family handles image input and output. In our tests, each download was about 1.6 to 1.8 MB.
The idea of turning a selfie into a costume is not new. Creators on TikTok have been posting witch-style filters, Y2K flash selfies, pet costume edits and short AI clips of fog and candlelight. Community reports also describe pasting a selfie and a text prompt into a general-purpose chatbot. Halloween AI takes a different route: each look already carries its own prompt, so you do not have to write one. If you want to read those prompts, the Halloween AI prompt library shows them look by look.
How to use Halloween AI, step by step
Using Halloween AI takes a few minutes. Follow the steps in order, and check each point before you spend a credit.
| Step | What you do | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Sign in | Sign in with your Google account. | Each image costs 1 credit, so make sure you have at least one. |
| 2. Upload one photo | Choose a clear photo of yourself or your own pet. | Only one subject should be in frame, and the face should be visible. |
| 3. Pick a look | Choose one of the 13 looks. | Read the look description so you know what will change. |
| 4. Generate | Start the job. Up to two images can be in progress at the same time. | In our tests, most single images finished within 30 to 60 seconds. |
| 5. Review and download | Open the result and compare it with your original. | Use the checklist further down before you share. Downloads stay available for 14 days. |
For photo tips, read how to pick a selfie for AI Halloween results. Pick a sharp photo where your face is clearly visible and not in deep shadow.
What the AI keeps and what it changes
Every person prompt starts with the same instruction. It tells the model to use your uploaded photo as the main reference, keep your facial identity, facial proportions, skin tone, approximate age and natural anatomy, and keep exactly one subject. The look description comes next. The prompt ends with a list of things to avoid: altered facial identity, extra limbs, duplicated fingers, distorted anatomy, text, logos and watermarks.
| Usually kept | Usually changed | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Face shape and facial proportions | Hairstyle, often a full new style | A big hair change is fine as long as you still look like yourself |
| Skin tone and approximate age | Clothing, fabric and accessories | Jewelry, collars and trims are where small errors show up |
| One subject in the frame | Background, lighting and some props | Hands and held objects are the most common failure point |
The fixed structure means every look asks for the same kind of care for your face. It also means the look sets the outfit and the scene, not your features. If a result changes your face more than you expect, that is a failed result, and you should not share it.

What the 13 looks produce in our tests
We ran each of the 13 Halloween AI looks once. The people were an AI-generated fictional woman's selfie for the single-person looks and a fictional man and woman for the couple look. The pet looks used a golden retriever. This is a small sample, with one run per look, so read the table as "what to expect and what to check", not as a promise. A different photo, lighting or angle will change the result.
Comparing the 13 images by eye, the person or pet was still recognizable in every one of them. The table below lists what each look changed and what to check on your own result.
| Look | What changes | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Midnight Braids | Long violet braids with silver hair accessories, a black and purple velvet outfit, a moonlit Victorian garden with a lantern in hand | Braid ends, hair accessories and the hand holding the lantern |
| Sugar Skull Glam | Skull face paint that follows the bone lines of the face, a deep red rose crown, a black lace off-shoulder top, candlelight and marigolds | Whether the paint follows your real face shape, and the lace edges |
| Haunted Unicorn Mascot | A worn pink plush unicorn suit, a cracked horn, a faded rainbow mane, a dusk carousel in an abandoned amusement park | The hood and head shape. The hood covers the hair, but the whole face should stay visible |
| Forest Witch | A moss-green cloak, an ivy-wrapped pointed hat, a glowing crystal pendant, a misty forest at dusk with fireflies | Hat edges over the hair, and the pendant and hand details |
| Velvet Vampire | A high-collar black velvet coat with red lining, pale makeup and deep red lips, a silver brooch, a candlelit gothic library. No fangs are shown | The brooch and collar shape, and whether the lips and eyes still look like you |
| Cosmic Princess | A midnight-blue gown with glowing star embroidery, a silver moon crown, a moonlit observatory | Where the crown sits on the hair, and the embroidery on the fabric |
| Halloween Robot | Wearable-looking metal armor plates, blue LED lights, moving shoulder parts. The face stays yours and the robot holds a helmet | The hands and the helmet, and whether the armor looks worn rather than floating |
| Galactic Hero | A black sci-fi suit, glowing red goggles pushed up on the forehead, a short metal cape, a stormy rooftop at night | The goggles position, the cape edges and the hand pose |
| Y2K Horror Night | A 1990s bedroom with posters, a flip phone, a lava lamp and a flash-camera feel. An original faceless figure in a hooded black robe stands in the doorway | The hands and small objects such as the flip phone |
| Backrooms Glow | A long yellow wallpaper hallway, humming fluorescent lights, worn carpet, and a faint green glow on the face. No other people | How strong the glow is. It is kept subtle on purpose, so it can look almost plain |
| Pumpkin Pet | A pet in a soft pumpkin costume with green leaves, a warm autumn studio with small pumpkins. The eyes are not covered | The costume edges around the ears and collar, and the eyes |
| Glow Dino Pet | A pet in a neon green dinosaur suit with a back spike, a hood that shows the whole face, a dim room with string lights | The spike, the paws and how the hood sits around the ears |
| Cowboy and Angel | One person in a cowboy hat, leather vest and scarf, the other in a white dress with feathered wings and a halo, at a dusk lantern market | Both faces, the hat and wings, and that the picture shows exactly two people |
For more on the two pet looks, see the pet costume page.
Credits, failed images and downloads
One credit makes one image. A couple look uses two photos but still costs one credit. Halloween AI credits are sold in one-time packs. There is no subscription, and credits never expire. Payments are processed by Dodo Payments and Waffo Pancake.
| Pack | Credits | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Trick | 5 | $4.99 |
| Treat | 15 | $9.99 |
| Coven | 40 | $19.99 |
If a generation fails, or the safety check blocks it, the tool returns 1 credit to your balance automatically. That is a credit return, not a cash refund, so budget your credits as credits. A retry is a new generation and costs another credit, so check your photo before you start it again.
Your uploaded photo is deleted as soon as the image is finished or has failed. A finished PNG can be downloaded for 14 days. If you delete the image or your account, it is removed sooner. Save the file to your own storage if you want to keep it. To compare packs, see the pricing page.
Honest limits and how to check a result before you share it
Halloween AI is an image model, not a retouching tool, and it makes mistakes. AI image models most often slip on hands, small accessories and props, so look at those first. Hoods and hats can cover hair, and the Backrooms Glow look has a faint glow that may read as almost plain. Upload a photo of yourself (18+) or of your own pet; couple looks also take one photo of a second adult who appears with you and has agreed. It never allows public figures, celebrities, minors or anyone who has not agreed, including parody and fan edits, and it does not allow impersonation, harassment, fraud or copyrighted characters.
Before you post a result, put it next to your original and go through the checks below. If a check fails, do not share the image.
| Check | Look for | If it fails |
|---|---|---|
| Face | Eyes, nose, mouth and skin tone match your photo | Do not share it. Retry with a sharper, evenly lit photo |
| Hands and props | Five fingers, natural joints, and held objects that make sense | Hands are the most common error, so generate again before you share |
| Hair and hoods | Hair does not look cut off or odd where a hood or hat sits | Expect this on Haunted Unicorn Mascot and Forest Witch, and check them closely |
| Accessories and text | Jewelry, collars and costume parts look attached, with no stray text or logos | Crop away what you can, or retry the look |
Share only what you have checked. Halloween AI results come from an AI model, so say so when you post them. If the picture is of someone else, ask that person before you share it.
